I’ve always read your reviews whenever I wasn’t sure about an anime and now, after four months I’m finally writing a comment.
Just want to say I love your site!~
In the alphabetical list of my reviews, they are highlighted in red. There are only two so far and please keep in mind that this is just my opinion. Steins Gate and Madoka. The reviews with a score of one is highlighted in blue and there is only one: Copihan.
why do you ask?
Great blog. I’m thoroughly enjoying reading your views on anime I’ve seen and seeing where we agree and disagree on. Keep up the good work. I would kind of like to see a page that breaks down anime by score so I could see if there are anime that I have skipped over that would be worth my time to watch.
I’ve been wanting to do that but I still haven’t actually figured out how to score anime. I can spot a 9 easy but I still don’t know the criteria to differentiate a 6 to a 7. I constantly change my review scores at random times so it’s not yet reliable.
Even something that can be rated a 1 is up for debate.
Just found this site, and I’m appreciating your even-handed review style. I also would like to see scoring- maybe something simple and qualitative such as worthwhile / meh / skip it. Or a couple posts about your favorite shows of a particular season, would be nice as well.
I’ll keep reading this blog. Good luck with the journey towards 1000 reviews ^_^
Trust me. I’m the most unsatisfied when it comes to the scoring system of this site. And I found that when you review a lot of anime spanning many genres, a simple scoring system like you suggested simply cannot work. I think a ten base score system is adequate and I’m slowly coming up of a more stable scoring system for my reviews.
I am now following your site with your epic reviews. Just thought I’d give you a heads up. Do you have any suggestions for some of the best animes in your opinion that I need to watch? I feel like your favorites must be great.
My preference will surely differ from you. Anime is a subjective experience which is why I keep holding off making a top something favorite list. For some anime I value highly though, it’ll be GTO, Tatami Galaxy and SteinsGate.
You’re a huge shoujo fan though. I can tell. My fave romance anime will have to be “His and her Circumstances” and Saikano. 🙂
You can tell that I’m a huge shoujo fan? XD That sounds like some type of creepy fortune teller to be honest. XD If you’re talking about my picture, Fruits Basket is the first REAL anime I watched knowing it was an anime and everything, so it’s close to my heart. XD
I pretty much watch any anime I get my hands on although I have some boundaries sometimes. Some animes, I just can’t stand, so I understand the whole personal opinion thing. To one person something can be processed as the best thing ever (such as for my the color lime green is the best) meanwhile others can go ahead and hate (*hearts tears a little bit*) the color lime green (although they must be heartless people) anyways, that’s what makes opinions so great. 😀
And alright! After I finish these two animes I’m in the middle of watching, I’ll definitely watch Steins;Gate. It’s been on my to-watch list for a while now anyways and I’ve heard that everyone should see it because it’s an awesome science fiction.
(The only thing I’m caught on is that you’re right I really do like Shoujo. Maybe I’m one of those easily see through types of people? If not, I’m totally coming to you if I need my anime fortune tested XD)

I don’t know if you take requests but I do have a good anime that I think is worth your time . It’s my all time favorite anime called Monochrome Factor , it also has a pretty good manga to go along side it .. My apologies if you don’t take requests , I’m new here but I love this site !! Thank you 🙂

Thanks! I already started with Steins Gate but stopped after 3 episodes. Pair a manic schizophrenic with time travel and I had no idea wtf is going on. I heard that it gets better so I’ll look into it again.
