TPAB’s Top Ten: Things I Learned From Six Years of Blogging and Reviewing (Part 7 of 10)

qxcgi8a

Time to brag about some of my best posts. I apologize, but this one is a hard lesson for me.

7. Dramatical Murder and Yosuga no Sora

Here’s a disturbing trend for my blog. I get constant hits from both these shows, and I don’t really know why. I remember that these shows actually helped me with my declining stats after I decided not to renew my WP upgrade. Side note, WP will crush your blog if you decide not to pay them anymore. But yeah, my review of Dramatical Murder and Yosuga no Sora is the biggest thing in this site.

I actually notice that both shows are VN anime too, so maybe people looking up the game ends up discovering the anime as well. For Yosuga no Sora, I do believe it’s my liberal use of pictures that bumps that post. When you hear of Yosuga no Sora and its “controversial” incest (it’s tame, but borderline Hentai) then you’d want to know more. That’s why I loaded that post with the incest route, because I literally knew that anime because of its controversy as well. Idiots also looking up incest anime get redirected to that post, so yeah, not really proud of it.

As for DMMD, I have no idea. I’m guessing it’s the same thing as Yosuga no Sora: just random curiosity. The anime has no explicit sex though (sadly), so I seriously don’t know. These two posts get daily hits though and I really want to know why. You’d be surprised what kind of anime would redirect people to your blog. To this day, I think High School DxD is still my best performing post, and I think it has 15 thousand hits at this point. I’m not proud of that as well, but hell, the stuff you learn doing anime reviews.

  1. My current most hit is my Top 5 guilty pleasure animes. -_-
Its really weird and interesting to see people getting intrigued and curious especially if its controversial and embarrassing. I am also not proud of my post, but people continues…to ‘appreciate’ it.

  2. It’s interesting what people end up reading or searching up really. Yhe weirdest stuff tend to get the most hits and the searches for them, well, that’s just a whole new territory really. 😂

    • interesting is one word for it, the other would be “reason to give up on humanity” xD
do you know how many incest searches ends up on my blog? disturbingly specific ones too, btw

      • Hahah true lol
Hahahah I don’t want to know lol. People search up the randomest of things. Makes me wonder what goes through their heads!

  3. That’s really interesting. A year ago my top review was for a board game actually, Deception: Murder in Hong Kong but now it is my article titled, “VRV – Worth it?” Where I weigh the pro’s and con’s of the service for those who have access. The article is kind of dated now but that doesn’t stop it from getting 20-50 views per day.

  4. I almost never get any interesting searches… Though someone did find me last week searching for “hisone to maso-tan porn”.

My most viewed post still regularly gets hits, I don’t know why “photography in anime” is so interesting, but it seemingly is.

    • oh yeah, porn searches are stupidly common. even for me, and specific ones too, like, under age girl porn or shoe polish porn, which I don’t understand. hahaha

your photography is very good though, you should be proud of those. 🙂

  5. I am guilty of this too. When you first commented on one of my posts I came to check out yours and DRAMAtical Murder really stood out. I watched it as it aired and it was heavily criticized back then in episodes reviews. Was really curious if it held up better in retrospect ^^

    • oh, DMMD is not received well when it aired? I thought it was….fine. but, yeah, VN anime is hard to appreciate anyways since a lot of fans of the game rain down on the anime hard. xD
